How It Happened (Game 1)

* Abington struck first with a pair of runs in the opening frame.  The Nittany Lions took advantage of two costly errors in the inning that set up run scoring plays.  Freshman Tori Colagreco highlighted the inning with a run scoring hit.

* Cedar Crest answered in the second as a wild pitch and throwing error led to two runners scoring to tie the game.  However, Abington regained the lead in the bottom of the inning thanks to a run scoring hit by junior Isabella Antosiewicz.  Her single up the middle scored junior Marlena Hacker who kept the inning alive with a two-out double.

* Abington increased its lead to 4-2 with a run in the bottom of the third.  Colagreco drove in her second run of the game with a sacrifice fly.

* In the fourth, Abington doubled its run total with a four-run inning.  A throwing error led to Foxhill and Hacker to score and then later in the inning Thomas doubled down the right field line scoring freshman Marisa Maehrer and Antosiewicz to make the score 8-2.

* Cedar Crest added a run in the seventh to cap the scoring in the game.

* Hacker finished the game 2-for-3 with a team-high three runs.

* Antosiewicz went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.  She also had two sacrifice hits in the game.

How It Happened (Game 2)

* Abington opened the scoring in game two with a run in the first.  Colagreco recorded her third RBI on the day after driving in Hacker who led the inning off with a single.

* Abington escaped the second inning without any damage after Cedar Crest loaded the bases with just one out in the frame.  Junior Paula Casale struck out Brooke Trentler then forced a pop-out by Natalie Hasert to close out the inning.

* In the third, Cedar Crest loaded the bases once again and this time capitalized with two runs after a two-run single by Kate Gronkowski.  The Falcons held their first lead of the game at 2-1.

* The score remained 2-1 until the bottom of the fifth when the Nittany Lions regained the lead.  Sophomore Riley Logan led the inning off with a double and was followed with a walk by sophomore Morgan Craig.  Foxhill than drove in Logan with a base hit before Hacker cleared the bases with a hit to center field.  Antosiewicz delivered a double to right-center to score Hacker but was thrown out at third trying to stretch a double into a triple.

* Cedar Crest cut the deficit to 5-3 with a run in the sixth.  However, that's as close as the Falcons would get despite loading the bases in the inning with one out.  Dinardo, who entered the game in relief in the fifth, struck out Ferraro before getting out of the inning allowing just one run as Hasert was thrown out at the plate by freshman Candice Peck trying to score from second.

* In the seventh, the Falcons got a runner on after a one-out hit by Kaitlyn Stock.  However, Dinardo struck out the next two batters to close out the game.
