How It Happened

* A six-run first inning was all the offense the Nittany Lions would need as the team cruised to a 13-3 victory at Rosemont to complete the season sweep of the Ravens.  Abington went 4-0 this season in two conference games and a pair of non-conference contests versus Rosemont.

* Abington batted around in the opening frame sending 12 batters to the plate.  The team scored six runs despite only collecting two hits in the inning.  Abington took advantage of four walks, a hits batsman and two defensive miscues.  Junior Akira Nakamura had a two-run double in the inning, while senior Benjamin Gagnon also drove in two runs with a base hit.

* Abington added single runs in the third and fourth innings.  Freshman Zach Salsbery had a run scoring double in the third and Nakamura drove in his third run of the game with a groundout to make the score 8-1.

* The Nittany Lions tacked on another run in the sixth when Nakamura struck again with a run scoring double to increase the lead to 9-1.  The Ravens scored two runs in the bottom of the inning to cut the deficit down to 9-3.

* Abington answered in the seventh as the team added four more runs to increase the lead to double-digits at 13-3.  Sophomore John Marcucci highlighted the inning with a two-run single, while Nakamura recorded his fifth RBI of the game after drawing a bases loaded walk.  Junior Donato Incollingo capped the scoring with a run scoring base hit.
