How It Happened

* An eight-run fifth inning by Lancaster Bible turned out to be the difference in the game.  After Abington plated three runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a 3-0 lead, the Chargers answered with eight runs in the fifth. A three-run homer by CJ Peterson gave the Chargers a 6-3 lead.  A two-run triple by Dylan Witkowski capped the scoring in the inning to make the score 8-3.

* Abington got two runs back in the bottom of the fifth to cut the deficit to 8-5.  Junior Nathan Schurga drew a bases loaded walk to force in a run.  Two batters later, freshman Jaxon Horvath scored on a wild pitch after he reached base earlier in the inning with a single up the middle.

* Lancaster Bible added to its lead with a run in the top of the sixth.  Everett Bell, who kept the inning alive with a two-out single, scored on a wild pitch to give the Chargers a 9-5 advantage.

* The Chargers' Evan Sareyka held the Abington offense to just one hit the final four innings.  Sareyka pitched five innings of relief allowing just two runs and two hits in his appearance.
