Kaminski Finishes 3rd at Philly Cross Classic

RESULTS

Philadelphia, Pa. – The Penn State Abington men's cross country team competed at the Philadelphia Cross Classic held at Belmont Plateau on Saturday morning. Sophomore Mason Kaminski finished third overall recording his fifth career top-three finish.

Race Highlights

* Kaminski finished the 8k-course in a time of 28:51.64 and was the top Division III runner to cross the finish line. Only Wilmington University's Kenai Black (27:37.19) and Thomas Jefferson University's (28:16.17) finished ahead of Kaminski.

* Sophomore Dan Kulb was the next Abington runner to finish as he recorded a time of 37:12.38 (37^th).

* Sophomore Jackie Chen, junior Calvin Chen and senior William Lotoza finished back-to-back-back. Jackie Chen finished 39^th overall in a time of 37:46.52, while Calvin Chen clocked in at 38:10.03. Lotoza finished in 38:39.35.

* Other scorers for Abington, included sophomore Edison Chen and freshman Rayan Elamzali. Chen finished in 41:26.2 (44^th), while Elamzali recorded a time of 42:05.6 (46^th).

Next Up
Abington returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 19 as the Nittany Lions host the annual Abington Invitational at Lorimer Park. Race time is set for 9 a.m.
