Nelson Wax is in his fifth season at the helm of the Nittany Lions men's golf program.
Since becoming the head coach during the 2010-11 campaign, Wax has led Penn State Abington to 37 top five finishes in tournaments, including six team victories. In fact, during his first full season, he led the golf program to three tournament victories out of twelve competitions and a program-best third place finish in the NEAC Conference Championship Tournament, a tremendous start for a young program.
Wax is also a full time career counselor on campus, working tirelessly with students on determining their career path. His greatest joy comes from seeing students find their career goals and succeeding after graduation. He takes that same level of concern to the development of his young golf team.
