D'Wayne Duncan enters his second season as an assistant coach of the men's basketball team for the 2017-2018 season.
Prior to joining Penn State Abington, Duncan was the assistant men’s basketball coach at Penn State Berks for seven seasons (2009-2016). He helped lead Berks to finish the 2012-13 season with a 11-3 record in the NEAC while winning their first ever NEAC South Division title. At Berks, Duncan recruited and coached a NEAC Rookie of the Year and seven NEAC All-Conference players.Â
Duncan also guided the Donyell Marshall Foundation (AAU) from 2005-2009. His duties included coaching, handling travel expenses, running summer camps/clinics and organizing promotional activities. Under his guidance, several athletes were recruited by top Division I and II programs.
He received a bachelor's in Community Health/Physical Education from Johnson C. Smith University. Duncan resides in Philadelphia, PA and is married with two daughters.
