Tiara White enters her third season as head women’s basketball coach at Penn State Abington. In her first two seasons, White led the Nittany Lions to the postseason in back-to-back years, including a championship game appearance in 2026.

The 2025-26 season was a historic year for the program. Abington advanced to the United East championship game for the third time after earning the third seed with an 11-2 conference record. The Nittany Lions finished with 20 wins for just the second time in the program’s Division III era. It marked the most victories in a single season since the 2014-15 team won 22 games. Abington also won 11 straight games leading into the United East title game setting a new D-III era program record.

In her first season as head coach, White helped guide the Nittany Lions back to the postseason after the team appeared in the Volt Division Finals. Abington finished the year 18-8 overall and 13-3 in conference play as the team advanced to the conference semifinals.

Prior to being named head coach, White spent two seasons as an assistant coach under former head coach Megan Fox who left Abington for a similar role at Division II Chestnut Hill College.

In her role as an assistance coach, White assisted and implemented preseason and postseason conditioning workouts for the team as well as monitor game and training sessions. She also provided scouting reports on opponents and had a hand in the recruiting process. Off the court, White provided mentorship for the student-athletes, had an influence on team culture and morale as well as mental health check-ins. White also stressed the importance of academics with the team by monitoring academic progress and study halls.

Before her time at Abington, White was an assistant coach at Delaware Technical Community College from 2020-22.

White earned her bachelor's degree in Exercise Science at Wesley College in 2016 and went on to earn her Masters in Sports Leadership from her Alma mater in 2019. White was a three-year member of the women's basketball team at Wesley and served as team captain her final two seasons.
