Stephanie Hilton is entering her first season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Penn State Abington women’s lacrosse program and will be working with the goalkeepers.
Hilton is a 2009 graduate of Bryn Mawr College with a degree in computer science and was a three year member of the Owls lacrosse team. During her time as an Owl, Hilton was a three year starter in the between the pipes as she is currently ranked second among the all-time saves leaders with 514 career saves and currently leads the all-time record for most career wins with 14. In 2008, Hilton posted her best numbers as she was ranked sixth in the NCAA for saves (210), fifth for saves per game (14), ninth in save percentage (.543) and sixth for game-high saves of 23 against Washington College.
The Westwood, Mass. Native hailed from the lacrosse powerhouse of Westwood High School and played along many lacrosse icons as a four-year starter. Hilton led her team to victory to the Massachusetts State Championship title in 2003 and 2005, losing only one game throughout that period in the 2004 championship game.
Hilton has numerous coaching experiences as a private instructor for various high schools and club teams such as the William Penn Charter School, the STEPS club lacrosse, and Ultimate Goal Lacrosse Club, working directly with the goalkeepers. Hilton is also a business analyst at the Lincoln Investment Planning.
