Levy joined Penn State Abington as its assistant athletic director in October, 2018. He also served as the interim director of athletics, intramurals and recreation for the 2020-21 school year.

During his time with the Nittany Lions, Levy has helped oversee the department's 13 NCAA Division III intercollegiate teams and the cheerleading club as well as the recreation and intramural programs. His responsibilities have included compliance, facilities scheduling and management, game day administration, lodging and transportation. Levy has chaired or served on search committees for head coaches and has also served on other campus hiring committees.

Under Levy's guidance, the intramural program has more than doubled its offerings and participation numbers. He adapted to the shutdown of the school's facilities due to Covid-19 by offering virtual gaming and trivia intramural opportunities during the spring semester and into the first months of the summer.

As interim director of athletics, Levy helped navigate the athletic department through the pandemic and a return to competition that spring. 

Levy came to Penn State Abington after more than 25 years of serving in the Delaware Valley University athletic department as an associate athletic director and the sports information director for the Aggies.  As the associate athletic director, Matt was in charge of the game day experience, facilities management, compliance, and intramurals along with his sports information duties.
 
Levy was an important part of the campus community at Delaware Valley being a part of the University’s strategic plan as a project manager, and he helped to create a vision and role for athletics.  His work in athletics and on campus didn’t go unnoticed by the students and faculty. In 2012, the Delaware Valley University yearbook was dedicated to him by the students for his impact.
 
As a Sports Information Director, Levy won numerous awards for his writing ability. His wrestling preview in the 1995-1996 media guide earned First Place and National Finalist at the 1995-1996 CoSIDA writing contest Later in his career he won First Place and was a National Finalist for his Men’s Basketball Season Review. He was an active member of the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Sports Information Director’s Committee and the MAC’s Hall of Fame Committee.
 
Levy resides in Sellersville, Pa. with his wife Becky and daughters Molly and Carly.
