Chris Crail

Chris Crail enters his second season as head coach of the Penn State Abington men's golf team with the 2022-23 academic year.

Prior to coming onboard, Crail was the assistant coach for the Bucks County Community College golf team for the last 10 years. In his tenure at Bucks, the team qualified for the NJCAA Nationals 4 times, earning a 6th place finish in 2018. Additionally, Crail helped in coaching 4 All-Region qualifiers and a two-time All-American, as well.

Crail played three years of Varsity golf for Burlington City High School, leading the Blue Devils in scoring for his junior year. After high school, he earned an Associates Degree from Bucks County Community College, in addition to being a part of the school’s golf team. In 2008, Crail received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sport and Recreation Management from Temple University.

A lifelong golfer, Crail takes any opportunity to play a round or just hit the driving range. He credits his grandfather, Terry, for always encouraging his love for the game. Crail has also spent summers as an instructor for youth golf camps and has volunteered his time assisting with local charity golf outings.

Off the course, Crail works as a Financial Advisor. He resides in Ambler, PA, alongside his wife, Beth.
