Abington, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's basketball team hosted Rosemont College in its home opener Tuesday night and weren't able to come away with the victory, losing 79-58.
The game started with Abington getting the early 18-12 lead over the Lady Ravens, but Rosemont fought back slowly and were able to not only tie up the game but was able to extend the lead by seven. The Lady Lions managed to chip their way back from the deficit, shooting 42.86% during the half as Abington's senior
Trish Watson notched the tying point for at 30 apiece before the buzzer singled the half.
Rosemont came out storming with a 19-0 run over Abington in just seven minutes into the second half and never looked back. Abington attempted to hammer away into the game several times but could not maintain possession of the ball, as Rosemont scored 25 points off 19 turnovers by Abington allowing throughout the remainder of the game.

Jessica Schmidt all scored 16 points apiece, while Schmidt was the leading rebounder of the game with 11, posting her first double-double of the season. Newcomer
Teharah Worrell posted four steals and recorded 10 points.
Penn State Abington (0-3) is back in action again on Nov. 28
th when they host Cairn University (0-2) at 6 p.m.
