KEUKA PARK, N.Y. - The Penn State Abington men's soccer team lost a pivotal conference matchup against Keuka College Saturday by a 2-1 margin.
Alex Martins (Philadelphia, Pa.) would give Abington the early 1-0 lead just 11 minutes into the game. Martins would beat his defender and slotted a shot towards the near post past Keuka goalkeeper Preston Vick.
Juan Martinez collected an assist on the play.
The Nittany Lions would take a 1-0 lead into half. Keuka outshot Abington 6-4 during the first 45 minutes.
Dan Saint-Pol (Perkasie, Pa.) made three saves total in the first half.
Keuka would tie the game at one in the 49
th minute courtesy of Austin Gerber. Gerber fired a shot from 18 yards out that got past Saint-Pol. Leandro Curran registered an assist on the goal.
Both teams would battle for the majority of the second half, but it was the Wolfpack who would take the 2-1 lead in the 72
nd minute. Paulin Koldja's 28 yard shot was deflected and bounced into the net past the far post.
Keuka outshot Abington 13-8 for the game.
Dan Saint-Pol made six saves total for Abington.
