Middletown, Pa. - Penn State Abington's volleyball team split two contests Saturday afternoon at a tri-match hosted by Penn State Harrisburg. The Nittany Lions (13-22) fell to Southern Virginia University, 11-25, 16-25, and 22-25 before winning a 26-28, 25-23, 25-17, 20-25, 15-10 decision to host Penn State Harrisburg.
Sam Amaro (Philadelphia, Pa.) led the Blue and White in their opening match with seven kills, 10 digs, and one service ace, while
Victoria Lohman (Frederick, Md.) came up with nine digs.
Rachel Bohl (Philadelphia, Pa.) chipped in with six digs of her own.
In the second match, Amaro led Abington with 24 kills and 20 digs. Bohl added 14 digs of her own, while
Ileanne Gomez had 49 assists.
Abington finishes the year 13-22 overall.
