Men’s Basketball Earns Tough Win Over Keuka

Abington, Pa.- The Penn State Abington men's basketball team has now won two straight games, as they defeated Keuka College by a 75-64 margin Saturday afternoon.
 
Eleven minutes into the game, both teams were struggling shooting the ball. Abington would take a 30-25 lead into the dressing rooms.
 
Abington was 10-for-23 (43.5%) from the field during the first 20 minutes, while Keuka shot the ball at a 37.5% rate (9-for-24) in the first half.
 
Dequan Jackson (Philadelphia, Pa.) led all scorers in the first half with eight points on 2-of-6 shooting. Jackson hit two three-pointers in the first half on 2-of-4 shooting. As a team, Abington was 6-for-14 (42.9%) from beyond the arc in the first half. 
 
After the break, Abington's lead over Keuka would continue. Hot shooting and clutch foul shooting for the Nittany Lions would seal the victory. Dequan Jackson's (Philadelphia, Pa.) 20 points on 6-of-12 shooting led Abington for the game. Max Alton (Pennington, N.J.) added 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting. Devin Jones (Philadelphia, Pa.) chipped in 15 points of his own on 7-of-8 shooting.
 
Abington (5-8, 4-2 NEAC) shot 25-for-48 (52.1%) from the field for the game, while Keuka shot 24-for-56 (42.9%) from the field. The Blue and White were 10-for-26 (38.5%) from three-point land, while Keuka was just 4-for-22 (18.2%) from beyond the arc.
 
The Wolfpack were led by Casey Williams' 24 points on 10-of-17 shooting. Tyler Hixson added 12 points and six rebounds.
 
Abington will return to action tomorrow as they square off against the Wells College Express. Game time is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
