Abington, Pa. - The Penn State Abington men's basketball team was defeated by Gallaudet University, 84-73, Tuesday night.
Ten minutes into the game, Abington jumped out to any early 20-9 lead. Gallaudet would cut the Nittany Lion lead to just six points with a minute remaining in the first half. Abington would take a 36-34 lead into half.
Abington was just 14-for-30 (46.7%) from the field in the first half, while Gallaudet shot the ball at a 42.9% rate (12-for-28) during the first 20 minutes of play.
The bright spots for Abington were 
Dequan Jackson's (Philadelphia, Pa.) 25 points on 9-of- 17shooting, and 
Max Alton's (Pennington, N.J.) 18 points on 6-of-13 shooting.
Abington (2-7, 1-1 NEAC) shot 25-for- 60 (41.7%) from the field, while Gallaudet shot 28-for- 52 (53.8%) from the field for the game. The Blue and White were just 9-for-29 (31.0%) from three point land, while the Bison were 8–for-17 (47.1%) from beyond the arc.
Gallaudet was led by Trey Gordon's 29 points on 6-of-12 shooting. Joshua McGriff also added 15 points and 5 rebounds. Gallaudet outrebounded Abington 35-28 for the game. 
Abington will return to action this Thursday, January 8th, as they travel to Chambersburg, Pa. to take on Wilson College. Game is scheduled for a 3:00 p.m. tip-off.
