ABINGTON, Pa. – Sophomore Emily Kennedy (Montgomeryville, Pa.) netted her eighth goal of the season as the Penn State Abington women's soccer team defeated Cazenovia College 2-0, Saturday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions improve to 7-4 on the season and 5-1 in the NEAC while Cazenovia falls to 4-7-1 and 3-4 in the conference.

Kennedy continued her strong season with a goal in the 7th minute when Victoria Parker (Philadelphia, Pa.) sent in a pass through the defense that the forward shot to the bottom right, past the keeper.

Freshman keeper Samantha Friend (Philadelphia, Pa.) made a critical save in the second half when the Wildcats Erika Lewis-Ellison broke away from the defense but couldn't get past the diving goalkeeper.

Junior forward Molly Wyman (Abington, Pa.) locked up the game in the 86th minute for the Nittany Lions when Kennedy crossed a ball that was finished by Wyman just inside the left post.
