ABINGTON, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's soccer team survived a rally from Wells College and came away with a 3-2 win on Sunday afternoon.

After the win the Nittany Lions sit in second place in the NEAC standings with an 11-4 record overall and 9-1 in conference. Wells College drops to 6-12 and 5-6 in the NEAC.

Molly Wyman (Abington, Pa.) notched her 7
th goal of the season in the 21
st minute to give the Nittany Lions a 1-0 lead. Later in the 27
th minute
Desirae Holmes (Philadelphia, Pa.) slotted another goal to give the Nittany Lions a 2-0 lead.

Wells closed the gap right before the half in the 44
th minute when Mackenzie Maloney scored her 9
th goal of the season.
Greta Sheridan (Horsham, Pa.) Â knocked in her second goal of the season on a corner kick when she headed it to the back of the net to give the Nittany Lions room, up 3-1 in the 48
th minute.

Maloney gave the Nittany Lions a scare when she added her 10
th goal of the season in the 59
th minute cutting the lead to 3-2.

The Nittany Lions will travel to the College of Saint Elizabeth on Wednesday October 28, at 4:00 p.m.
