UTHICA, NY – The Abington men's soccer team traveled to SUNY Poly for its first match of the weekend against NEAC competition, but couldn't get past an early goal from the Wildcats as they fell 1-0, Saturday afternoon.
 
The Nittany Lions drop to 5-4 and 3-2 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference while SUNY Poly improve to 4-4-1 and 2-2 in conference.
 
In the second minute of the match SUNY Poly got onto the board. Abington pressured, as they fired four shots in the first half to draw level, but only one was placed on goal for the keeper to save.
 
In the second half freshman goalkeeper Jose Arroyo (Puerto Rico) kept the Nittany Lions in the match as he made four saves, but team could only get three shots that didn't trouble the keeper.
 
Abington continues its road trip when they face SUNY Cobleskill tomorrow at noon.
