ABINGTON, Pa. – Freshman
Shayna Rodriguez (Philadelphia, Pa.) made her debut for the Nittany Lions and didn't disappoint. The freshman guard led the Penn State Abington women's basketball team with 20 points in a 59-38 win over Cedar Crest College Tuesday night.

Sophomore guard
Elizabeth Jones (Philadelphia, Pa.) racked up 19 points and six assists on the evening. The Nittany Lions dominated the boards as they pulled in 46 rebounds over the Falcons' 31. Junior center
Madison Kimball (Jenkintown, Pa.) scooped up 10 rebounds and the Nittany Lions recorded 22 points in the paint.

In the first quarter the Nittany Lions handled the Falcons outscoring the visitors 22-7, with 11 coming from Jones going 4-of-9 from the floor.

In the second quarter both defenses took over, but the Nittany Lions still edged the Falcons with an 8-5 advantage. Abington went into the half up 30-12.

Rodriguez came out firing in the second half, as she drained 2-of-3 from behind the arc and added four more points in the Nittany Lions' 17-11 advantage in the third period. Abington held a 47-23 lead going into the fourth quarter.

The Falcons would finish strong in the fourth period. Tenille Stewart and Taylor Osley played efficiently on offense with two three-point shots apiece to energize the Falcons to a 15-12 advantage in the fourth quarter.

The Nittany Lions return to action on Monday November 23 at 7:00 p.m. as they host Cairn University.
