ABINGTON, Pa. – The Penn State Abington men's basketball team (0-6) hosted undefeated Centennial Conference power Swarthmore (7-0). The Nittany Lions took an early lead in the first half, but couldn't hold on as they dropped a 90-60 decision to the Garnet.

Dequan Jackson (Philadelphia, Pa.) led all scorers with 20 points and forced three turnovers for the evening.Â

Jackson forced two early turnovers in the first minutes of the half to give Abington a 6-4 lead.

Swarthmore would storm back with a 13-0 run to give the Garnet the 17-6 advantage.Â

Abington struggled until the final six minutes of the half when they outscored Swarthmore 15-10 with the efforts of senior guard
Devin Jones (Philadelphia, Pa.). The Nittany Lions trailed the Garnet 41-25 at the half.

The Nittany Lions started to build some momentum in the second half when
Pedro Aldebol (Camden, N.J) drained a jump shot to cut into the Garnet's lead.

Abington were able to capitalize on the fouls by Swarthmore in the second half as they hit 14-of-22 at the line, but the Nittany Lions couldn't keep pace with the Garnet.

The Nittany Lions have a two-day turn around, when they host Centenary College on Friday night with tip-off slated for 7:00 p.m.
