Abington, Pa. – Katelyn Haas (Lower Moreland, Pa.) scored a game-high five goals as fellow teammate 
Bridget Meade (Willow Grove, Pa.) posted four goals of her own, as Penn State Abington won its North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) lacrosse opener over the College of Saint Elizabeth, 18-3, Tuesday afternoon at Memorial Field. 
Freshman goalkeeper 
Lindsey Detweiler (Willow Grove, Pa.) made six saves while allowing just three goals for Abington. 
Haas would score 13 seconds into the game as she won the draw control and raced down the field and scored. The Nittany Lions would get goals from 
Chasidy McLaurin (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Michalea Mast (Pottstown, Pa.) before the Eagles managed to tally its first goal at 23:10 of the first half. 
Haas would tally three more goals in the first half and Meade would score three more to extend the Abington lead to 12-1 at the break. 
After the break, Haas would tally her fifth and final goal of the game less than three minutes into the second half. Kiana Cunningham would tally two straight goals for the Eagles to cut the Abington lead to 13-3. 
Abington would respond with five straight goals from 
Katelyn Kelly (Springfield, Pa.), 
Kate Schalck (Warminster, Pa.), Kelly again, 
Breanne Kradzinski (Phialdelphia, Pa.) and 
Bridget Meade. 
Abington (2-3, 1-0 NEAC) held a 37-10 advantage in shots. 
Abington travels to New York this weekend for a pair of conference match-ups, starting with Wells College at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, March 21
st at SUNY Cortland. They then take on the Wolfpack of Keuka College the next day. Game time is slated for 1:00 p.m.
