Abington, Pa.- The Penn State Abington women's lacrosse team continued conference play Sunday afternoon, as they fell to Cazenovia College 15-6.
Abington got six goals on the game with junior
Chasidy McLaurin (Philadelphia, Pa.) recording three goals.
Cazenovia was led by Kaitlin Sheppard as she had five goals on the game. Amaris Woodson, MacKenzie Bresett, and Abby Webtser all had two goals for the Wildcats.
Cazenovia got the first two goals of the game before
Jessica Watts (Abington, Pa.) found the back of the net less than three minutes into the game to put Abington on the board.
The Wildcats would then score seven unanswered goals to take a 9-1 lead.
Katelyn Haas (Lower Moreland, Pa.) and
Chasidy McLaurin would add two more goals before the half ended.
Cazenovia took a 9-3 lead into the break.
The Wildcats took advantage of a tired Nittany Lions squad in the second half tallying six more goals. The Blue and White would tally three more goals in the final 30 minutes of play.
Abington (3-5, 2-2 NEAC) will look to bounce back this Friday, April 17, as they host Lancaster Bible College. The game is slated to begin at 4:00 p.m. at Abington Memorial Field.
