Tom Ditro (Philadelphia, Pa) captured the Abington baseball career hits record in style. Ditro sliced an RBI double in the seventh inning for his 170
th career hit in an amazing 16-12 come from behind win over Gwynedd Mercy on Friday afternoon.

Jason Roselli (West Deptford, N.J.) and
Max German (Newtown, Pa) both contributed three hits each; scoring a combined four runs and drove in three RBIs, as well.
The Nittany Lions (11-13) found themselves in a 7-0 hole in the second inning after giving up 11 walks and two hits.
Roselli sparked a five run inning on a double down the right field line. Ditro solidified the comeback with deep ball that was bobbled over the fence by the right fielder and recorded as a two run error . This brought Abington within striking distance down 8-9 in the top of the sixth.
The Griffins answered with two more runs in the bottom half of the inning.
Abington surged into the lead on a
Ted Smallwood hard groundout to the shortstop that advanced the runner home. Ditro chipped in another run on an RBI double, making it 13-11 in the seventh.
The Nittany Lions will travel to Cazenovia College for a crucial NEAC matchup. Abington looks to stay atop the NEAC standings, as they face the Wildcats for a Saturday afternoon doubleheader starting at 1:00 p.m.
