MARCY, N.Y. – Sophomore
Mike Scaringelli (Bordentown, N.J.)went 3-for-3 with a run scored, but the Penn State Abington baseball team dropped their first NEAC games of the season, as they were swept by SUNY Poly 12-6 and 2-1 Sunday afternoon.
In game one Abington would strike first on a
Jason Roselli (West Deptford, N.J.) RBI single to center field but an eight run fifth inning for the Wildcats proved to be too much for the Nittany Lions.
Max German (Newtown, Pa.) drove a deep ball to center field for a sacrifice fly to drive in the first run of game two. But an RBI single in the seventh for the Wildcats gave them a 2-1 edge that the Nittany Lions could not overcome.
Abington (13-15) will travel to non-conference foe Messiah College Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
