FREDERICK, Md. – The Penn State Abington baseball team dropped its non-conference matchup against Hood College 23-5, Friday afternoon.

Abington drop to 16-17 for the season.

The Nittany Lions were led by sophomore Mike Scaringelli (Bordentown, N.J.) who went 3-of-4 and knocked in two of Abington's five runs.

The Nittany Lions held a 4-0 lead in the top of the fourth, but a huge 11 run inning for Hood was too much for Abington to overcome.

Seniors Tom Ditro (Philadelphia, Pa), Fran Caruso (Philadelphia, Pa.), and Gary Martorana (Phoenixville, Pa.) will all be honored Sunday for their final regular season game for Penn State Abington at 11:00 a.m.
