ABINGTON, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's volleyball team (5-4) cruised to a perfect 3-0 win over Rosemont (0-8), Thursday evening.

The Nittany Lions went 25-11, 25-18 and dominated game three 25-8.

Leading the blue and white were sophomore
Sam Amaro (Philadelphia, Pa.) with 12 kills and freshman
Maddi Richards (Warminster, Pa.) with seven kills. Â
Corey Pecuch (Newtown, Pa.) chipped in 14 assists and freshman
Catherine Zhushma (Warminster, Pa.) led the team in digs with eight.

Throughout all three games the Nittany Lions never gave up the lead as they grabbed early points on service aces from Pecuch in games two and three.

The volleyball team will open conference play when they travel to Morrisville NY, for a NEAC crossover weekend on Saturday September 19. The first game is slated for 5:00 p.m. against SUNY Poly and game two will start at 7:00 p.m. vs. SUNY Cobleskill.
