MORRISVILLE, NY - Penn State Abington women's volleyball team (5-6, 0-2 NEAC) traveled to Morrisville New York for its first NEAC Pool play tournament, but dropped both matches on the first day.
 
The women opened with a 0-3 loss to SUNY Poly, going 16-25, 18-25 and 13-25, and next in a closer 1-3 loss to SUNY Cobleskill 24-26, 23-25, 25-23 and 21-25.
 
Sam Amaro (Philadelphia, Pa.) led the Nittany Lions with 24 kills and 21 digs in both matches. Danielle Dyjak (Abington, Pa.) added 25 assists on the evening while freshman Andia Anderson (Philadelphia, Pa.) blocked five attempts.
 
Abington will return to the court tomorrow to face the host Morrisville St. at 1:00 p.m.
