KEUKA PARK, NY – The Penn State Abington men's soccer team concluded its New York road trip with a 2-1 win over Keuka College on Sunday afternoon.
The Nittany Lions improve to 11-2-1 overall for the season and 10-1-1 in the conference. With the win, Abington sets a new record for NEAC conference wins.
In the first half senior
Richard Domico (Langhonre, Pa.) kicked off the scoring in the 23
rd minute with a goal assisted by
Hernando Villamil (Philadelphia, Pa.).
Later in the half,
Thomas Vessels (Jenkintown, Pa) finished a penalty in the final minute of action to give the Nittany Lions a 2-0 lead going into the break.
The Wolves pressed in the second half and fired 11 shots at goalkeeper
Jose Arroyo (Puerto Rico) but the sophomore held firm with six saves.
Keuka broke through in the 84
th minute off a free kick, but Abington held on for the win.
The Nittany Lions will finish the regular season next Saturday against Penn State Berks at 3:00 p.m.
