HACKETTSTOWN, NJ – The Penn State Abington women's basketball team opened its season with a 75-33 loss to Centenary on Saturday afternoon.
The Cyclones stifled the Nittany Lions keeping them off the board for the entire first quarter. Abington fared better in the second quarter and kept pace with Centenary by getting to the line and draining their free throws only down 38-19 at the half.
In the second half, the Cyclones defense controlled the game with the Nittany Lions only able to score two points in the third quarter to keep the game out of reach.
The Nittany Lions will look to rebound when they travel to Cairn University on Monday night at 7:00 p.m.
