Wildcats Shut Down Nittany Lions 82-28

Marcy, N.Y. – The Penn State Abington women's basketball team faced off against NEAC leader SUNY Poly and were stymied with suffocating defense, as they lost to the Wildcats 82-28.

Abington falls to 11-6 overall and 7-6 in the conference.

Freshman Shayna Rodriguez (Philadelphia, Pa.) was the only player to see double-digit points, scoring 12 for the game.

The Wildcats jumped out to a commanding 30-7 lead in the first quarter. The Nittany Lions were only able to hit two shots from the floor and added two more from the line.

Abington was cold from the floor all night, as they could only hit 9-of-58 shots and 1-of-16 from behind the arc.

The Nittany Lions will look to rebound in a crucial NEAC crossover matchup against SUNY Cobleskill tomorrow at 2:00 p.m.
