Sarah Eisele (Langhorne, Pa.) tallied three goals, but the Penn State Abington women's lacrosse team fell to New Paltz 18-3, on Thursday afternoon.
Abington drops to 1-2 on the season.
Both teams held a stalemate in the first six minutes of play, but the Hawks exploded on offense when they scored five goals within a two minute span.
Eisele notched her first goal of the season with ten minutes off the clock.
The Hawks would go on to score another five goals before Eisele could score her second of the game.
In the second half New Paltz held on to a comfortable lead, but Eisele earned her first hat trick with ten minutes left.
Abington will have a week off before they host Virginia Wesleyan on Monday March 21, at 4:00 p.m.
