ABINGTON, Pa. – Senior
Chasidy McLaurin (Philadelphia, Pa) notched two goals, but the Penn State Abington women's lacrosse team fell to Virginia Wesleyan 21-3 on Monday afternoon.
The Nittany Lions fall to 1-3 for the season.
Abington fired 26 shots and forced 13 saves from the Marlins goal keeper.
McLaurin scored her first goal of the season after a defensive showdown in the first nine minutes of action. The Marlins would go on to score nine unanswered goals in the first half be McLaurin would nab her second goal of the game.
Freshman
Sarah Eisele (Langhorne, PA) earned her team leading fourth goal of the season, in the opening minutes of the first half.
The Nittany Lions will travel to Rutgers-Camden for the Power in Pink game on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m.
