READING, Pa. – The Penn State Abington softball team traveled to Albright College for a doubleheader but couldn't come away with a win. Abington dropped game one 6-0, and lost game two by a 4-0 decision, on Saturday afternoon.
Abington falls to 3-5 for the season.
The Nittany Lions were stymied at the plate with only a single hit for the game. In the top of the fourth inning
Breanna Lineman (Philadelphia, Pa.) knocked a hard ball to third base for the teams only hit.
In game two,
Emily Wrenn (Hatboro, Pa.) put in a solid performance on the mound with only two earned runs in six innings of work.
Abington will continue its road trip when they go to Arcadia on March 29, at 5:00 p.m.
