JENKINTOWN, Pa. – The Penn State Abington baseball team hosted Rowan University on Tuesday afternoon, and fell 4-1 to the Profs.
The Nittany Lions drop to 7-13 for the season.
In the first inning the Nittany Lions loaded the bases with three consecutive walks.
Anthony Pletscher (Hatfield, Pa.) stepped up to the plate and drove a ball to deep right field that allowed the first run to score.
The Profs responded in the second inning with two runs, and added two more runs in the third inning.
Four pitchers took the mound for the Nittany Lions and earned six strikeouts on the afternoon.
Abington will begin conference play when they host Lancaster Bible on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
