ABINGTON, Pa. – Sophomore
Greta Sheridan (Horsham, Pa.) hit her NEAC leading fifth homerun to lead the Penn State Abington softball team to two wins over Gallaudet on  a rainy Saturday afternoon. The Nittany Lions took game one 3-1 and earned a 7-0 decision for game two.
Abington improves to 6-8 on the year and earned its first two conference wins of the season.

The Bison struck first when they took advantage of an error in the first inning, but Abington answered in the bottom half with a sacrifice fly from Sheridan.
The Nittany Lions extended their lead with an RBI single from Danielle Hebling (Warminster, Pa.) in the second inning. Another RBI single from
Jennifer Rakita (Langhorne, Pa.) put the game out of reach for the Bison.
Breanna Lineman (Philadelphia, Pa.) started off the scoring in game two with an RBI double to right center field. Sheridan extended the lead with her fifth home run of the year to left field.
Abington added another four runs in the sixth inning, highlighted by a double down the left line by Hebling.
Sophomore pitcher
Becca Dougherty (Churchville, Pa.) earned her second win of the season, as she gave up only four hits and struck out five batters in the shutout victory.
