ABINGTON, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's lacrosse team wrapped up its non-conference schedule with a 14-9 loss to Bryn Mawr on Thursday afternoon.
The Nittany Lions drop to 2-10 for the season.
Mallory Mugnier (Abington, Pa.) put the Nittany Lions first on the board when she netted a goal within the first minute of the game. Â The Nittany Lions held onto possession until
Chasidy McLaurin (Philadelphia, Pa.) scored the second goal at the 24:54 mark. Senior Katelyn Kelly (Springfield, Pa.) capped off the run with a goal.
Bryn Mawr rebounded with five consecutive goals until Kelly broke the streak with her second goal of the game. The Owls added another three goals in the final two minutes of the half.
Abington fought through the second half and came within three points after a goal from Sarah Eisle (Langhorne, Pa.) and Mugnier cut the lead to 11-8. The Owls closed out the half scoring three of the final four goals.
Abington will host Wells College for senior day on Saturday afternoon at 12:30 p.m.
