JENKINTOWN, Pa. – The Penn State Abington baseball team hosted the Cairn Highlanders and fell 7-3 on Wednesday afternoon.
The Nittany Lions drop to 9-14 for the season.
The Highlanders took advantage of multiple defensive errors in the third inning to push three runs past the plate.
In the bottom half of the inning, Abington chipped away at the lead with an RBI single from
Matt Meyers (Cheltenham, Pa.) to right field.
Sophomore
Pat Fitzgerald (Warrington, Pa.) added another two runs in the fifth inning to tie the game with an RBI single up the middle, which drove in two runs.
