BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's lacrosse team battled the elements and SUNY Poly, but the Nittany Lions fell to the Wildcats 20-4 on Saturday afternoon. Because of the poor field conditions the game was moved to Bryn Athyn College.
The Nittany Lions drop to 2-5 for the season and 1-1 in the conference.
Fighting through the snow and slick conditions the Wildcats opened the game with 11 consecutive goals, until junior midfielder
Ashlee Kohn (Bensalem, Pa.) broke toward the goal and netted her first of the season.
SUNY Poly added six more goals, before
Michaela Mast (Pottstown, Pa.) recorded her eighth goal of the year with 15 minutes remaining in the second half.
Mast added another goal with ten minutes on the clock and finished her hat trick in the final five minutes of play.
The Nittany Lions will host Medaille College tomorrow afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
