LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's volleyball team continued its dominate form with a 3-0 sweep of Cairn University on Wednesday evening.
The Nittany Lions improve to 9-3 for the season.
Abington cruised in the first set with a 25-17 decision, won a quick second set 25-10, and finished off the Highlanders in the third set by a score of 25-16.
Offensively,
Sam Amaro (Philadelphia, Pa.) and
Marissa Wescott (Beaufort, NC) led the Nittany Lions in kills with 10 and seven respectively.Â
Cori Watson (Harleysville, Pa.) and
Cortney Schwar (Annandale, NJ) assisted the rest of the team with a combined 25 assists between the two setters. Sophomore
Maddi Richard (Warminster, Pa.) recorded 14 digs, the ninth time over the season that she reached double digits.
Abington will have a quick turnaround when they host Ursinus College tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m.
