IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's soccer team earned its first win of the season with a 1-0 win over Immaculata on Saturday morning.
The Nittany Lions move to 1-1 for the season before they open up conference play.

Samantha Friend (Philadelphia, Pa.) blocked their attempts as she recorded five of her eight saves of the game in the first period.
Abington struggled to generate offense with only one shot in the first half, but the Nittany Lions came out of the break pressing the Mighty Macs.
In the 53
rd minute the Nittany Lions began to threaten when they won a corner. Later in the run of play, junior defender
Greta Sheridan (Horsham, Pa.) capitalized on a loose ball in the box and slotted it home for the first goal of the season.
Abington will return home when they host NEAC rival Lancaster Bible College on Thursday September 8, at 4:00 p.m.
