WASHINGTON, DC – Freshman
John Ryan (Warminster, Pa.) earned his second double-double of the season, but it wasn't enough to overcome Gallaudet as the men's basketball team fell to the host 76-66 on Thursday night.
Ryan led the Nittany Lions in points and rebounds with 13 points and 14 boards.
The Bison started the first half on a hot streak, outscoring the Nittany Lions 16-6 in the first ten minutes. Senior
Don Sloan (Philadelphia, Pa.) kept the Nittany Lions on pace with the Bison draining a pair of shots from downtown. The bench for the Nittany Lions chipped in 16 of their 28 points in the first half.
Immediately coming out of the break, sophomore
Momolu Dorley (Trenton, NJ) had the hot hand with his game-tying three pointer. Abington stayed close until the final 10 minutes of the half, when the Bison pulled away.
Abington will be back in action when they host Lancaster Bible on Saturday afternoon.
