ABINGTON, Pa. – In the final non-conference matchup of the season the Penn State Abington women's basketball team hosted nationally ranked #3 University of Scranton on Tuesday evening. The Nittany Lions were downed by the Royals 83-31 and drop to 4-4 for the season.

Back from the break, sophomore Marah Hayes (Churchville, Pa.) led the Nittany Lions with 11 points and scooped seven rebounds with four blocks.

The stifling defense from the Royals held the Nittany Lions to only 19 percent from the field and 20 percent from behind the arc.

Abington will be back in action when they host Penn State Berks on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
