PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's volleyball team battled with the Patriots of Valley Forge University and came away with a well-deserved 3-1, on Wednesday evening. The Nittany Lions improve to 8-11 after the win.

Andia Anderson (Philadelphia, Pa.) again led the Nittany Lions in kills with 13 for the night and defensively Abington welcomed back
Isabel Hoch (Philadelphia, Pa.) who racked up 36 digs.
In the first set the Nittany Lions we're almost flawless in the attack with 15 kills and only four errors on their way to a 25-19 win in the first set. The Patriots evened the match in the second set when they rallied to a 25-17 win. A late run in the third set helped the Nittany Lions take a 2-1 advantage over the Patriots with another 25-19 win. In the fourth set, again the Nittany Lions pulled away late with its third win off a 25-19 decision.
The Nittany Lions will travel to Washington DC for a NEAC crossover weekend at Gallaudet University. On Friday night the Nittany Lions take on the hosting Bison at 7:00 p.m.
