MORRISTOWN, NJ – A first half hat trick from
Hernando Villamil (Philadelphia, Pa.) helped the Penn State Abington men's soccer team to cruise to a 7-0 victory over the College of Saint Elizabeth on Wednesday afternoon. Abington improves to 11-6 and 9-0 in the conference, a win on Saturday against Lancaster Bible would give the program its first undefeated record in the conference in team history.
Senior
Marco Martins (Huntingdon Valley, Pa.) kicked off the scoring party in the 5
th minute with his fourth goal of the season. With a 1-0 lead, Villamil broke out with one of the fastest hat tricks in Nittany Lions history with a goal in the 9
th minute, and again in the 11
th minute. Finally, the junior forward capped his spree with a penalty kick that was converted in the 13
th minute of the game. In the 23
rd minute senior
Mykola Lyakhovolsky (Philadelphia, Pa.) joined the party with his first of the game to give the Nittany Lions the 5-0 advantage with less than 25 minutes off the clock. Freshman
Liam Scalley (Dorado, PR) capped off the first half scoring with his second goal of the season.
In the second half Lyakhovolsky finished off the scoring with a late goal in the 89

Lautaro Vergara (Philadelphia, Pa.) earned his first start of the season and kept the clean sheet with three saves.
The Nittany Lions will play their final match of the season when they travel to Lancaster Bible on Saturday for an important game with NEAC playoff implications. The Nittany Lions will kick off the game a noon.
