JAMACIA, NY – The Penn State Abington women's volleyball team traveled up to new York for their first of a three game road trip, and came away with an easy 3-0 win over York College on Friday night. The Nittany Lions improve to 8-9 after tonight's win.
Freshman
Sydney Bennett (Tampa, FL) led the Nittany Lions with seven kills while
Lauren O'Keeffe (Yardley, Pa.) was right behind with six kills for the match.
Abington crushed the Cardinals in the first set, dominating with a 25-8 win one of the largest margins of victory for the season. The Cardinals woke up in the second set, but the Nittany Lions handled the hosts with a 25-17 win. A late run in the third set helped the Nittany Lions to the sweep with a 25-16 decision.
Abington continues on the road and will face off against Nichols College tomorrow at 2:00 p.m., and later face Eastern Connecticut State at 4:00 p.m.
