READING, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's basketball team fell behind early to Penn State Berks, but their late rally fell short in an 82-75 loss on Tuesday night. The Nittany Lions fall to 5-2 overall and 1-1 in the conference after their defeat.

Shayna Rodriguez (Philadelphia, PA) had a season high 30 points hitting 12-of-25 from the floor. On the boards senior
Grace Dewey (Falls Church, Va.) racked up a season high 15 rebounds.
Abington dug themselves in a hole early being outscored 28-7 in the first quarter with a dismal 23 percent from the floor. Abington tried to cut the deficit in the second quarter but Berks still held the edge 45-21 at the break.
In the second half Rodriguez hit her stride going 8-of-15 and netting 21 points, outscoring Berks in the third period 29-19. After being down for the entire night, Abington clawed their way back into the game with under three minutes senior
Symantha Marrero (Philadelphia, PA) drained a three pointer to bring the game within five points. Unfortunately Berks held onto their advantage by hitting their shots at the stripe.
The Nittany Lions will be back in action when they travel to Wilson College this Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
