ABINGTON, Pa. – The Nittany Lions came into the game looking to upset the top seed in the NEAC South standings, but a late run by Gallaudet put the Bison on top with a 65-62 win on Wednesday night. Abington falls to 7-11 for the season and 6-7 in the conference.

Austin Slawter (Philadelphia, Pa.) led the Nittany Lions with 12 points each.
Abington's defense disrupted the Bison's rhythm in the first half with 17 turnovers for the visitors. Midway through the first half the Nittany Lions found themselves in a seven point hole, but Abington pulled of a 10-3 run highlighted by a three-ball from Sloan. Abington tied the game with three minutes remaining in the half, and took the lead when Slawter stole a pass from the Bison and took it in for an easy bucket. A late three point shot from Gallaudet cut their deficit to five points going into the half.
Gallaudet quickly tied the game in the second half, but Abington roared back with a 15-6 run, punctuated by a dunk from junior center
Nick Brown (Philadelphia, Pa.). The Nittany Lions held a 12 point lead with six minutes remaining on the clock, but the Bison rallied with tough points in the paint. The 12 point lead evaporated and the Nittany Lions only held a one point margin with 3:30 on the clock. Gallaudet took the lead in the final minutes and would hold on by shutting down the Nittany Lions offense.
Abington will look for revenge when they host Bryn Athyn on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
