ABINGTON, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's basketball hosted NEAC North power SUNY Poly, but couldn't perform the upset with a 74-50 loss to the Wildcats on Sunday afternoon. The Nittany Lions fall to 10-12 overall and 8-9 in the conference.
Before the game the Nittany Lions honored senior
Madison Kimball (Jenkintown, Pa.) for her outstanding career. She is currently second in program history in rebounds with over 450 boards.
Sophomore guard
Marah Hayes (Philadelphia, Pa.) led the Nittany Lions in points  with 15 and freshman
Angie Tabares (Hackensack, NJ) pulled in five boards, a season high for her.
Abington was held off the boards, being out rebounded by the Wildcats 52-24 and only hit 30 percent from the floor. SUNY Poly has hot shooting from the floor with a 48 percent average.
Abington will look to rebound when they travel to Penn State Berks on Valentine's Day with tip off slated for a 6:00 p.m. start.
