MORRISVILLE, NY – The Penn State Abington women's basketball team traveled north to face off against NEAC North power Morrisville State, but the Nittany Lions couldn't overcome the Mustangs in a 74-65 loss on Friday night.

The Nittany Lions fall to 11-13 for the season and 9-10 in the conference.

Sophomore
Shayna Rodriguez (Philadelphia, Pa.) pulled in another double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Junior guard
Brittany Keyes (Huntington Valley, Pa.) Â hit 7-of-10 from behind the arc on her way to 21 points.

The Mustangs jumped out to an early 6-0 lead but the Nittany Lion kept pace, by finishing with a 7-2 run down by a point at the end of the first quarter.

In the second period the Mustangs pulled ahead again by six points, but the Nittany Lions roared back and took the lead with three shots from downtown by Rodriguez, Keyes, and
Marah Hayes (Churchville, Pa.). Abington held a one point lead going into the break.

The Nittany Lions held the lead in the third quarter off of tough points in the paint from Hayes and clutch shooting from Rodriguez.

Hayes opened the fourth quarter with a great shot from downtown, but the Mustangs charged ahead with a huge 29 point fourth quarter to seal the game.

Abington will finish the regular season against Cazenovia tomorrow afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
