ABINGTON, Pa. – A home run from
Trey Guaglionona (Abington, Pa) lifted the Penn State Abington baseball team to a 13-8 win on Thursday afternoon. Abington improves to 8-19 for the season.
Brandywine took a 3-0 lead in the third inning, but Abington answered in the bottom half of the inning with two runs of its own.

Kyle Marshall (Fairless Hills, Pa.) double down the left line tied the game in the fourth inning at 3-3.
By the sixth inning Brandywine took a 6-4 lead and with runners in scoring position shortstop
Stevie Stevenson (Westhampton, NJ) made a stunning grab to rob the hitter of two RBI's to keep the Abington within striking distance. In the bottom half of the inning the Nittany Lions went off for five runs with RBI singles from
Julio Aira (Miami, FL) and
Matt Meyers (Cheltenham, Pa.) and another double from Marshall.
After coming close to a home run in his first three at bats, Guaglionona kicked off the seventh inning with a solo shot to left center field. Back to Back RBI singles from
Nick Yurchak (Bridgewater, NJ) and Stevenson pushed the Nittany Lions lead to 13-7.
Brandywine earned a homer in the eighth inning, but Abington held on for the win.
The Nittany Lions will be back in action when they host Wells College this Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
